PS, I would love to read your book of poetry about coming out as a trans woman. Could you tell me where I might find it (title, and where it is available)?
Emily, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this interview with Carolyn. I really identified with what the two of you were sharing about the complexities of family and grieving parents with whom you had complicated and challenging relationships. Both my parents died in 2021 at the ages of 91, and my grief about them has been very complex, with long tendrils that extend probably back many generations. I also loved hearing you describe your experience of coming to perform poetry. Thank you to both you and Carolyn for all of this goodness! 💜

Hi Keith, my first book of poetry is titled Butterfly A Rose and if you google the title and my name on Amazon you will find it. https://www.amazon.com/Butterfly-Rose-journey-through-transition/dp/1893075745. My memoir, Turning Inside Out is also available there at https://www.amazon.com/Turning-Inside-Emily-Pittman-Newberry/dp/B09RGSP3S1/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3J7HITYHGK3XW&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ffQtPfcP-3vOjOiIGeNmCg.bjd2Z5q7oUJZjFK7f8O2OIM2wcyvYsyJ2Tf5t12boeE&dib_tag=se&keywords=Turning+Inside+Out+by+Emily+Newberry&qid=1748711065&s=books&sprefix=turning+inside+out+by+emily+newberry%2Cstripbooks%2C217&sr=1-1.
The memoir, I hope, shows how I have grown internally over the years in being present with my life story.
Thanks for these links, Emily - I look forward to reading both!
